Allright, this program is by far the best I've ever seen! It's awesome. And that song is so cool, I know the whole songtext (I'm more a melodic-person, not a text-person, so it has a special place in my heart.) and every evening I watch The Big Bang Theory and I'm so cheerful when I hear this song. Anyway, the Barenaked Ladies is a really good band!

SCHOOL

Tomorrow school starts again and I don't know I like it or not. I saw my books and they are very boring, most of them are the same as last year so I didn't like that. I like to get new books, but allright. I put a flower-paper around them and I really get in a happy mood when I look at them. That's a good thing, I guess. Last week I had to perform with my band at Metropool in Hengelo OV. It wasn't the best performance I ever had, but it was still okay. After that I slept at one of the bandmembers room. It was kind of fun. I realise my vacation is over and I think I didn't enjoy it as much I could and I feel bad about that. I think it's cool school starts again tomorrow so I don't have to think all the time about a lot of things. I'm really into reading a good book, do you know a good one? Tell me, please!

I'm going to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers (still addicted) and clean my room... AGAIN!

I stole this survey from my friend because it was a short one and I think you have to know something more about me. It's dutch because I don't want to translate it in Englisch: I'm tired!

1. Geloof jij dat er meer is dan de mens? Een leven na de dood of geesten die zijn blijven hangen op aarde?
En of ik dat geloof ;). Ik kan hier wel duizend uur over vertellen; mijn visie. Maar ik vind niet dat iedereen dat zomaar hoeft te weten en als je geïnteresseerd bent kun je me dat ten alle tijden vragen!

2. Ga je op vakantie deze zomer, zo ja, naar welk land?
Ja, ik ben naar Italië geweest (Florence) en naar Nederland (Hellevoetsluis) én ik heb ook nog in Enschede gelogeerd! :D

3. Hoe ziet jouw ideale man eruit?
Haha, ik weet niet of het zo verstandig is om hem te omschrijven. Hij is in ieder geval ontzettend slim en ook heel mooi! Enough information!

4. Speel je instrumenten?
Zeker! Saxofoon, basgitaar, trombone, gitaar, keyboard, blokfluit en dat was 't denk ik wel...

5. Als ik jou echt zou kennen dan zou ik weten dat…
iets wat bijna niemand weet en wat ik ontzettend graag iemand wil vertellen, maar de (juiste) tijd er nog niet voor kan vinden.

6. Als je voor een dag een superpower kon hebben, wat zou het dan zijn?
Dat ik kan verdwijnselen + verschijnselen!

7. Wat zou je doen met een miljoen?
saxofoons + mondstukken kopen. huisje kopen. bandbusje kopen. iedereen van de band een auto naar zijn/haar smaak (ook al heeft er ééntje pas z'n rijbewijs!). een 24" (of dan toch 32"?) scherm voor m'n pc. een iPhone. ene macbook. is m'n geld al op? een hammond + extra keyboard voor in Enschede voor Marijn. een kast vol met schoenen waar ze niet op kan lopen voor Valentine. een kamer vol met bekkens voor Joël en gitaren + versterkers voor Martijn!

8. Wat is je droombaan?
heel simpel: muzikant.

9. Welke vraag zou je niet beantwoorden?
Ik beantwoord bijna elke vraag. Zou zo 1-2-3 niet weten welke niet.

I've got a new addiction and they called the Red Hot Chili Peppers! I'm so obsessed with the Stadium Arcadium-cd. It's amazing! I gonna burn it and when we drive to the bandrepetition tomorrow we can play the cd! The pianist will be very happy with it; sarcasm!

FLORENCE DAY TWO

Hey all! Today is my second day in Florence and It's still gorgeous! I couldn't get out of my bed because I was so tired, but I woke up and we had our breakfast downstairs. After that we went to the bus and to took it. It was unbelieveable! The city is so beautiful! The concept of the bus is that it has lines and there are stops overall so you can get out and get in whenever you want! But our first round we just sat and watched! There was so much to see! During the second round it started raining. So we left the bus and watched in the designerstores! O my God, all that stuff is so expensive! And I don't know if I really like it! But it was too cool to see it! After that we went in the bus again and went eating - the thirth pizza in Florence, haha! I bought a cute hat and a beautiful scarf! Then my mother wanted to go to a church, what was okay! And really, wat a stupid church was it. I really didn't like the energy, it was soo heavy! And there weren't beatiful things. Some of the graves weren't assesible and others were (to walk over). It was so hypocriet over there. But allright, I was happy when I came out! And I appreciate the people who liked it.

Now my mother is sleeping and I'm very tired to. About a half our we're going to shower and dinner - pizza again? I don't think so. It's time for spaghetti!

FLORENCE DAY ONE

Hello, I'm in Italy now and it´s gorgeous here! The weather is very hot and I'm so glad our room has an airco! Tomorrow I woke up at five o'clock. We took the train from Emmerich to Düsseldorf and we flied to Zurich. There we had to change airplanes and we flied to Florence. In Germany and Switzerland it was raining and in Florence the sun was shining and shining. We had to take the city bus whom was bringing us to the Central Station. And then we lost our way. Our guide wasn't right so we were walking for like 40 minutes before we found our hotel. The hotel is awesome and I found two (!!) Zara's! They're opposed to each other! I really like the stores here and the people are so nice! Tomorrow we're going to do a sight-seeing tour!
In the pictures below you see me at the airport in Düsseldorf, a very well playing clarinettist (omg, I was so impressed!) and just a street in Florence. I didn't edit them because I hadn't enough time. More pictures later!

Today it's my last day at work. I can't wait untill it's 11 o'clock, then my vacation will begin. Yesterday my 50mm lens arrived and I'm so in love with that lens. It makes gorgeous pictures and I'm really happy with it! :)

So, my blog has got a new layout. I prepared it for my holiday to Florence, so I can update (almost) every day. I 'm working this whole week and then, next week on Monday, we took the plain to Florence. I'm so excited about it! I can't wait to see al the stores and marketplaces and that gorgeous houses and streets and most important: PIZZAAAA! I'm so curious how real pizza's taste. Are you been in Italia before? Last Saturdaynight I had to perform with my band, Neon Mind. It went very well and all the audience were so positive. After all I took some pictures with my camera and David's lens. David is the only smiling boy in the pictures below. The only light was coming out of the fire and the camera still made gorgeous pictures. I want that lens! This week I have to make tests and at Wednesday Neon Mind is on the radio. On Thursday we're playing at a companyparty and on Friday we're playing in a café called Merleyn in Doetinchem. You're invited to watch us! On Saturday I have to perform with the jazzcombo in Ulft and then finally, my deserved vacation. CAN'T WAIT!

Yeah! Today I had my audition for the prestudy music and I'm accepted. There was no doubt and I'm so happy right now. I just did it! It's the begin of what I always wanted and still want!

Yesterday I went to Jamie Cullum's concert in Amsterdam and it was awesome! One of the best performace I've ever seen. I didn't deliberately make pictures because I just wanted to enjoy the music! And it was worth it. When he's in The Netherlands again, I'll certainly go!

Making homework

Lately all my leisure goes to homework. Today it's mathematics. My math-teacher called me last week if I could make my test on Thursday. "Yeah, that's cool," that's what I said. But that's anything but cool! Maths is the most terrible subject in the school. All that numbers. Argh. I don't have to know what y = 50x3^(3x-1) means. If I can count 'till 12, that's enough. But allright, I'm a good girl and I'm going to make my math-homework... *sigh*

It's an argument for school.

Vanaf het begin van 2011 wordt het begeleidend rijden ingevoerd als het aan de minister van Verkeer en Waterstaat ligt. Bij het begeleidend rijden mogen jongeren vanaf hun 17^de verjaardag hun rijbewijs halen en tot de 18^de verjaardag rijden met een begeleider. Deze begeleider geeft geen instructie, maar adviseert, ziet toe op de uitvoering van de rijtaak en schat in wanneer de complexiteit van het verkeer op een gegeven moment de vaardigheden van de beginner te boven gaat. Het doel hiervan is om jongeren bewuster in het verkeer bezig te laten zijn en om ongelukken te voorkomen. In onze buurlanden is het positieve effect hiervan al aangetoond. In Duitsland is bijvoorbeeld gebleken dat bestuurders die tot hun achttiende onder begeleiding hebben gereden, 30% minder ongelukken veroorzaken dan jonge bestuurders die niet onder begeleiding hebben gereden. Daarnaast zijn er nog 20% minder overtredingen en rijden de jonge bestuurders minder vaak onder invloed van alcohol en drugs. In Zweden is in 1993 de leeftijd voor begeleid rijden verlaagd van 17,5 naar 16 jaar, waarbij de leeftijd voor het zelfstandig rijden 18 jaar bleef. Over een periode van twee jaar is het ongevallenrisico van de groep die onder begeleiding reed gedaald met 40%. Niet alleen de veiligheid in het verkeer wordt verbeterd, ook is het prettig om op jonge leeftijd al te kunnen rijden in een auto. Omdat je beduidend meer vaart maakt dan op een fiets is het in het begin even wennen, maar zoals het spreekwoord luidt: jong geleerd is oud gedaan. Volgens de anti hyves (ja, die is er!) wordt het er niet beter van, maar juist slechter en gevaarlijker. Dit omdat politieagenten niet kunnen zien of degene achter het stuur al 18 is, waardoor er 17-jarigen die er ouder uitzien toch alleen gaan rijden en 21-jarigen die er jonger uitzien telkens van de weg worden afgeplukt om gecontroleerd te worden of zij wel 18 zijn. Hierdoor zouden er meer ongelukken komen, maar is dat waar? Gaat de politie dan ineens meer controleren op de leeftijd van de automobilisten? Dat lijkt mij niet. Daarbij hebben de 17-jarige die toch zonder toezicht gaan rijden zelfvertrouwen genoeg om verantwoord mee te kunnen delen aan het verkeer. Uiteindelijk zal de wet alleen maar voor meer veiligheid zorgen. Nu maar hopen dat minister Eurlings deze wet door de Tweede Kamer krijgt.
